|ANNAPOLIS, MD - June 16 - Wheeling Park's Seth Scatterday played with the Pittsburgh Select team at the Hogan's Summer Exposure Tournament when they won the high school varsity "A Bracket" in June. DURHAM, NC - June 28 - Wheeling Park's Drew Scatterday attended the Duke University Lacrosse Camp on the Duke campus, home of the 2013 National Lacrosse Champions. The camp took place from June 24-28 with only 200 select campers in attendance. While at camp, the players worked out with current Duke players and members of the Duke coaching staff, including John Danowski who worked out extensively with the goalies and defenders all through camp. Chuck Scatterday, the Wheeling Phantoms Coach and proud father, reports that it was a great experience for Drew and he can't wait until next year to participate again.
MINI CAMP IN CHARLESTON
CHARLESTON - June 27 - Capital's Asst. Coach John Barry, with the help of players from Mars Hill College, hosted a mini camp this week at Capital High. The camp ran from June 24 to June 26, 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mars Hill's Ryan Hermann, Jamie Reazer, and Zach Tomkinson stressed the fundamentals of lacrosse to the players from Capital and George Washington. Coach Barry hopes to host the camp again next summer and add a second session for middle players..

FAIRMONT - The Fairmont community helped the Fairmont Senior Girls
Lacrosse Team raise $1,300 this year for cancer awareness.

purchasing LAX FOR THE CURE t-shirts for staff members at their East and
West Fairmont Clinics.
Senior head coach Jon Cain and several members of The Polar Bears visited the West Fairmont Clinic this week to thank Falkenstein and his staff for their contributions. "We were very happy to help Coach Cain and his team raise money and awareness for cancer," said Derek Falkenstein, DPT and co-owner of Country Roads Physical Therapy. "We look forward to being involved again next year."

Women's Lacrosse Team hosted an overnight girls camp this summer, the first
ever overnight lacrosse camp in the state. Bobcat head coach Karli
Brentlinger reported that there were 15 campers and 6 staff members.
