This award recognizes a player in each area who goes above and beyond in
service to his team, school, and community. This player exemplifies the fundamentals of lacrosse, works hard to improve his game and is a leader both on and off the field. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BOB SCOTT served as the head coach of the Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team from 1955 to 1974. His teams compiled a record of 158 wins and 55 losses with seven National Champions. Scott was named the USILA National Coach of the Year in 1965, 1968, and 1972. He was an All-American midfielder for Hopkins in 1952 and played on the Hopkins 1950 National Champion team. Scott wrote the book "Lacrosse: Technique and Tradition" in 1976 and was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1977. He was the JHU Athletic Director from 1974 to 1995. |
